JF-17 “Thunder” Block III - Pakistan Air Force gain Edge over Indian Air Force


JF-17“Thunder” multirole fighter aircraft Block III has made its first flight on December 15 in China, it is a project of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and Chengdu Aerospace Corporation (CAC) reported by Chinese social media.

The new aircraft has more additions features than previous systems including a wide-angle holographic head up and a new imaging infrared (IIR)-based missile approach warning system.
This new Block III aircraft will receive a new electronic warfare system with upgraded avionics which includes a three-axis fly-by-wire digital flight control system, the pilot will also have a helmet-mounted display and sight system and there is also a new addition of an active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar system - Pakistan’s first Chinese-made.  There are also Two such radar systems are under evaluation, according to the PAF Air Chief: The Nanjing Research Institute of Electronics Technology’s KLJ-7A radar and the Leihua Electronic Technology Research Institute’s (LETRI) LKF601E. 


The Block III multirole aircraft is going to be deployed in Pakistan Air Force (PAF) this year. The first two aircraft of the Block III have already entered in production phase at the Aircraft Manufacturing Factory (AMF), PAC Kamra.

After having Block III with new and improved technology PAF will get more innovative technology in the air for defending the air of Pakistan. PAF is known for its professionalism and the bravery for defending the territory of Brave National Pakistan.
