As a Muslim, we have found a way to take
our relationship with a prayer to the level where Allah Subhan-o-Talah wanted us
to be, I thought it might be helpful to share some things that helped us offer Nawaz
on time in my daily routine.
We All Must Remember Why We Pray
We have been repeatedly told that
prayer is something that benefits us and it must in any hardship of life. In
the sense of blessing, prayer is certainly beneficial to health and wealth.
We Should All Rethink Prayer’s Benefits
My Namaz as a self-care. If I can’t find
5 min breaks from my daily working hours or when I take rest at home, it may
have been an indication that I should slow down? If I’m not starting or ending
my days praying, I may be depositing myself up for weariness? I am sure that prayer
helps us check in with yourself and adopts an essential attitude of self-awareness
and self-compassion.
This is
portrayed through the following saying of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):
“If a
a person had a stream outside his door and he bathed in it five times a day, do
you think he would have any filth left on him?” The people said, “No filth
would remain on him whatsoever.” The Prophet (peace be upon him) then said,
“That is like the five daily prayers: Allah wipes away the sins by them.” (From
the Hadeeth collections of Al-Bukhari and Muslim.)
Hold Yourself Accountable for Nawaz
We should all develop a habit to contract
with yourself to support the behavior, that we are not allowed to leave the
house until Namaz-e-fajr is done, we not allowed to leave work until Namaz e Zuhar
and Namaz e Aasr are done and we are not allowed to get in bed until Namaz e maghrib
and Namaz e isha is done.
It’s Never Too Late to Start - Remember!
Allah knows who we are and what we struggle
with. Allah just wants us to try our best. Every day we are alive is proof that
we have always given second chance.
This was for all my Muslims brother
and sister that we should never be distracted from praying.
